The mission of Special Olympics Georgia is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for all children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

2020 State Summer Games, May 22-24, 2020, Emory University

Special Olympics Georgia is thrilled to share that the 2020 State Summer Games is May 22-24 at Emory University. Throughout the weekend, close to 3,000 athletes, coaches, and unified partners will travel from across the state to compete in high quality Olympic-type competitions in nine sports. Our 2019 Summer Games was a huge success, and we are looking forward to an even better 2020. Special Olympics Georgia is also celebrating its 50th Anniversary! Please make sure to attend this exciting weekend of events!

2020 State Masters Bowling Tournament, August 14-16 in Warner Robins, GA

Come out and join the fun at the 2020 State Masters Bowling Tournament in Warner Robins, GA on August 14-16! More than 1,200 Athletes and Unified Partners from around the State will go for the gold in bowling competition at the Robins Air Force Base and Gold Cup Bowling Center during the weekend! Please sign up to volunteer and help cheer on these amazing Special Olympics Georgia Athletes as they compete! For more information about the event, contact David Crawford. The 2020 State Summer Games is approaching quickly! The event will take place on May 22-24 at the beautiful Emory University Campus in Atlanta, Georgia! Atlanta Hawks Youth Basketball Classic

Come join Georgia’s largest Youth Basketball Tournament on February 22nd, 2020! There will be a Special Olympics Division for all athletes competing in Basketball, hosted by the Atlanta Hawks at LakePoint Sports Complex. All questions please email Danielle Hogan
