Over The Edge – Overlook III Building – Vinings – May 7

Ever wondered if you had what it takes to be fearless and face new challenges head-on? Well, here’s your chance! The fifth annual Over the Edge will be Saturday, May 7! Join other “edgers” who are brave enough to raise $1,000 to rappel over the edge of the 22-story Overlook III Building (2859 Paces Ferry Road, Atlanta, GA 30339) for Special Olympics Georgia. Over the Edge is the largest fundraising effort benefitting Special Olympics. Last year alone, the event made over $183,000! SOGA is looking for a few good men and women to experience the challenge, the bravery and the exhilaration of participating in an event that takes you out of your comfort zone and ultimately changes your life forever – the same thing our Special Olympics athletes experience every day. If you are interested in participating, becoming a sponsor or would like more information, please contact Kristin Hill at 770-414-9390 ext. 105 or by email: kristin.hill@specialolympicsga.org.

Color Me Rad 5K, March 22, Conyers

2013ColorMeRad2    2013ColorMeRad3    2013ColorMeRad4

Color Me Rad, benefiting Special Olympics Georgia, will take place March 22nd at the Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers.  Color Me Rad is a 5K that fires off in a blaze of color bombs, color cannons, color mortars, and multi-toned courses and guarantees a tsunami of color that’ll make colored tears of joy run down your cheeks and will renew your will to live.

You’ll start off with a shirt as pure and white as your granddaddy’s dentures, and throughout the run, your body will be coated with color bombs of blue, green, pink, purple, and yellow until your face, shirt, and body come out silkscreened like a tie-dyed hippy on the other side.  Each section of the run adds a new explosion of color to your clean, painter’s palate until you cross the finish line into a final blitzkrieg of color.

Register using Special Olympics Georgia’s promo code SOGA and save 10% off your registration and have 15% of your registration go to Special Olympics Georgia.
