Publix & P&G partner up for Special Olympics Georgia athletes!

Publix, Procter & Gamble, and Special Olympics have partnered together for 34 years to help people with intellectual disabilities achieve their dreams. Here’s how you can help…
•On Sunday, December 29, 2013, clip the P&G brandSAVER™ coupons featuring Special Olympics in your local newspaper.
•Support Special Olympics while you shop at Publix by purchasing your favorite P&G products like Charmin, Pantene, and Downey and many other well-known brands during the month of January.
•And while you’re at Publix January 2 – 22, show you’re a fan of Special Olympics by purchasing your very own paper torch at the check-out register for $1, $3, $5 or $10 to support Special Olympics and your local athletes!
•This year’s torches include $12.50 in coupons on select Procter and Gamble products. These coupons are good above and beyond the brandSAVER ™ coupons, so purchase a torch and you’ll find out just how rewarding it is to “Be a fan”!

You’ve seen medals awarded, athletes smiling after winning or congratulating their opponents after a loss. There have also been tears. You’ve watched volunteers cheer on athletes and coaches encouraging their teams. And you’ve probably gotten lots of pictures of your favorite moments over the years that you like to go through. We’d like to see them too and share them with everyone.

E-mail your favorite photo from any time during Special Olympics Georgia’s 40 years to Wendy.Bigham@SpecialOlympicsGA.org  by Dec. 31. It could be as old as 1970 or as new as yesterday. The winning photo will be selected and posted in the SOGA Connection January 6.
